2020年2月25日，湖北省宜昌市秭归县郭家坝镇油岭村，村民聘请的采果队“背山工”正在搬运脐橙。疫情发生后，秭归县多方协调，开辟了脐橙外销绿色通道，并要求以家庭为单位的采摘人数不能超过15人，每人必须佩戴口罩，确保防疫生产两不误。

2020年3月4日，“时代楷模”八步沙治沙人在防控疫情的同时不忘防沙治沙，在治理好八步沙、黑岗沙后，又来到腾格里沙漠南缘的旱麻岗开展春季治沙造林，计划压沙造林面积7000亩。2019年3月，中宣部授予甘肃省武威市古浪县八部沙林场“六老汉”三代人治沙造林先进集体“时代楷模”称号。
